Spend the evening with installation artist Adrian Esparza as he discusses his 3D woven serape sculpture. Esparza uses textiles as a medium to display his Mexican American \ art, culture and heritage. He unravels serapes and then wraps the threads around studded frames to create incredible art that explores mid-century minimalism, landscapes and our relationship with found objects. His unraveling and re-spinning of the serape in different forms represents our dependence on the past and suggests the new possibilities of the future.
